Liverpool FAVS update

February is a busy month for Liverpool FAVS with two talks and congress. The first talk is on “The effects of BVD on herd fertility and production" and is kindly sponsored by MSD and the second talk is regarding transition cow management.  All years are welcome at the talks but it should be especially helpful for fourth year students as some extra revision before their forthcoming exams. 23 Liverpool students are looking forward to attending congress this year after hearing such good reviews about previous years and there is a good representation of students from all the year groups attending. We are also hoping to arrange a farm walk at Leahurst with an emphasis on housing design and cow comfort to maximize productivity as well as an abattoir visit for third year students to help them prepare for their public health examination.
